Wolomi is a maternal health advocacy organization based in Washington, D.C. We are a woman-led team of strategists passionate about empowering women of color on their pregnancy journey. We are a diverse and inclusive team of dreamers with a passion for improving women of color maternal health outcomes.
We are looking for a remote Entrepreneur intern to join our dynamic team. This is a perfect position for a business-minded individual who wants to start their own business one day. It is a good opportunity to work closely with a start-up in its second year. Be a part of growing and sustaining the company has it launches new products.
What you’ll do:

Create a potential partnership list and leads

Communicate with potential partners

Assist the founder to manage profit, loss, bookkeeping

Assist with a business newsletter to update partners

Assist with identifying contracts, grants, and managing deadlines

Assist with contract applications

Assist with improving new app development and OKRs
-
Other duties may include virtual community management
We look for interns who are:

Recent graduates or currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance or related field

Creative strategic thinkers with a knack for problem-solving

Have good writing and finance skills

Self-starters with a positive attitude

Passionate about innovation, healthcare and empowering women

Able to execute in a fast-paced, deadline-driven scrappy team environment with extraordinary attention to detail and follow-through

Tech-savvy with strong Excel and PowerPoint or Keynote skills
You will work for a total of 20 hours a month. Meetings will happen virtually over Zoom. We are intentional about creating a meaningful experience for our interns. This is a very hands-on internship for individuals seeking mentorship. There will be weekly meetings, brainstorming through current projects, and learning the ins & outs of marketing a start-up. This is a monthly stipend based internship that can be taken for school credit.
